The Marriott is where many people are staying as it's relatively close and one of the more inexpensive. The only downside is that it's across the river.

Hi, all. We're staying at the Embassy Suites Hotel: Downtown Portland. It's 5 blocks from the Portland Classical Chinese Garden, and it has a free shuttle to the Garden (the free shuttle will take you up to 2.5 miles from the hotel). We reserved our room on Expedia for two people/one room for $184 per night, but then we got a $50 coupon (for using Mastercard) and a $25 gas card. (Unfortunately the coupon has now expired, I only just got it right before it expired, but if I get anymore I'll post a link here.) Looking forward to the big event. We'll be arriving in Portland on Thursday. Violet and Sam Kirchmeier.
